As more and more construction workers come from Spanish-speaking countries, it is very important for construction managers and homeowners to communicate effectively with these workers, to be able to negotiate a fair price for the work and to be able to communicate exactly how the job should be completed. You must not only learn construction words and phrases in Spanish but also know the basics of the Spanish language, such as telling time, numbers, fractions, and general words and expressions. For example: "How much are you charging?", "At what time will you start the work, and when will you have the work completed?", "Can you start tomorrow morning?". These are but a few of the hundreds of questions you will want to ask your construction workers or staff.
